Prior to the attack, the 20-year-old who attempted to kill former US President Donald Trump at his Pennsylvania campaign rally made a number of stops to resupply ammunition, according to The Ultimate News.
Thomas Matthew Crooks also spent Friday, the day before the Trump rally, honing his shooting skills at a range. Crooks headed to the Home Depot the following morning to purchase a five-foot ladder. According to the report, he then purchased 50 rounds of ammunition from a gun store.
According to sources, he ascended the building using the same ladder before opening fire on the 78-year-old Republican nominee.
After Crooks attacked Trump, Secret Service agents shot and killed him. Investigators are attempting to put together a timeline of his activities preceding the abortive attempt on his life. The reason is still a mystery.
Law enforcement sources told The Ultimate News that despite breaking into his phone and searching his computer, authorities have not yet discovered any evidence that would point to a political or ideological motivation for the shooting.
