New Delhi, India – Since Karan Johar hinted at a ‘Wake Up Sid’ sequel, fans have been eagerly awaiting the Ranbir Kapoor-Konkana Sen Sharma sequel. Now, it appears that an advertisement for a product campaign depicts the entire team coming together and dropping major hints about ‘Wake Up Sid 2’.
Previously, filmmaker and producer Karan Johar shared a teaser for the now-released advertisement for the previously mentioned product. Karan Johar shared the news on his official Instagram account, writing, “Is this really happening? All I know is that something exciting is in the works, and I couldn’t have woken up to better news.”
Could the makers be hinting at an extension of the film’s narrative with the ad campaign?
For context, ‘Wake Up Sid’ is a 2009 Aya Mukerji film that was both critically and commercially successful.
‘Wake Up Sid,’ which also starred Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, and Rahul Khanna, is now available on Netflix. The film did well at the box office upon its initial release, as well as receiving critical acclaim and gaining cult status over time.
Meanwhile, a behind-the-scenes video starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma was making the rounds on Reddit, and fans couldn’t get enough of the possibility of ‘Wake Up Sid 2’.
