Esha Verma, Ashwin Verma’s daughter and actress Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter, accused Rupali of having an affair with Ashwin while he was married to his second wife in an old Facebook post that went viral recently. Esha has since made fresh accusations against her stepmother and father, claiming that their actions resulted in trauma that has lasted a lifetime. Esha revealed information about her family history in a recent interview, asserting that Rupali Ganguly violated her family’s privacy in New Jersey and played a significant role in her parents’ divorce.
“Rupali Ganguly slept on my parent’s bed”
Esha detailed the traumatic events in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, claiming that Rupali remained in her parent’s marriage bed. Esha asserted, “I’m not sure what Ashwin and Rupali will say in response to these claims and remarks. Now X, I am aware that my father has made a statement on Twitter. Rupali was the one who came to my residence in New Jersey and slept on my mother’s bed, which was the bed that my father and mother shared, so his claim that Rupali was not involved is the biggest lie. She has abused my mom and me verbally, physically, intellectually, and emotionally. I believe that I and my mother both experienced a great deal of trauma and suffering. We endured a great deal of suffering, yet we are not as exposed as she is.
Esha says Rupali Ganguly asked her father to divorce her mother
She also claimed that Rupali was a major factor in Ashwin’s decision to seek a divorce, which severely damaged her and her mother’s emotional and mental health.
Esha added, “First things first, it’s both parties’ fault for an affair…she comes into our lives,” in reference to the intricate dynamics of her family. She forced my father to deliver the divorce papers, and she did the same to my mother twice. And to be with her, my father would flee to India. Regardless, it is absolutely wrong to have an affair while married. She also denounced her father’s behavior, highlighting how he neglected his obligations to his family and put his relationship with Rupali ahead of his roles as a husband and parent.

Esha thought back on her high school years and the pain she went through, feeling powerless while her family disintegrated. Because of the women who purposefully entered our lives, ended my parent’s marriage, and physically assaulted my mother in my grandmother’s home in Mumbai, I was heartbroken and sobbing in high school. The most terrible thing I have ever experienced is seeing her triumph. I’m not blaming Rupali alone; I’ve also found the courage to claim that my father is to blame. It’s a two-party street since he was also an extremely violent and emotional abuser. In the interview, she stated, “I was really scared at first when this news went viral; he told me to take down the post.”
“My father never stood up for me”
Esha revealed that her father resisted her attempts to openly address the matter. He made an effort to silence me whenever I tried to talk about it. My father has been absent from my life for over 20 years, despite my desire for love, respect, and a relationship with him. He probably wouldn’t even attend my wedding. Following my father’s instruction to remove the post, I spent my entire life reflecting and suffering alone. Why should I listen to a man who prioritized his wife above women with whom he had an affair and never stood by us? He never defended my mother or myself. He didn’t defend me, he didn’t publicly apologize, and he didn’t mention my sister and myself in the post. Their son and he were usually together.
Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter Esha’s old post
Esha detailed the charges against Rupali Ganguly in a 2020 Facebook post. These allegations have now resurfaced and drawn a lot of attention. In the post, she accused Rupali of manipulating family dynamics and called her “cruel-hearted,” claiming that she had a lengthy affair with Ashwin during his second marriage. She also claimed that Rupali restricted her father’s interactions with Esha and her sister, among other things.

In a statement posted on Instagram in response to the previous post, Ashwin Verma apologized for the incident and acknowledged the ongoing suffering his daughter endures. “I do have two daughters from previous relationships, something Rupali and I have always been open about that I care a great deal about,” he said, adding that divorce is a traumatic event. Given that divorce is a trying time that can have a negative impact on a marriage’s children, I can appreciate that my younger daughter is still quite saddened by the breakup of her parents’ relationship. However, there are a lot of reasons why marriages fail, and I experienced a number of issues with my second wife that caused us to split up. These issues were unique to us and had nothing to do with anyone else. I simply want the best for my wife and kids, and I find it terrible when the media pulls people into vicious loops of negativity.
