Prashant Kishor Tells Bihari community in US

In a virtual conversation with the Bihari diaspora, Prashant Kishor expressed confidence that his party would win the 2025 Bihar assembly elections.

Bihar is “literally a failed state,” according to poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor, and its overall development will take enormous efforts.

In a virtual conversation with the Bihari diaspora community, after the party’s US chapter was launched, the Jan Suraaj leader expressed confidence that his party will win the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

Additionally, he pledged to remove the prohibition on alcohol and use the money raised to enhance education in schools.

We must acknowledge that the state of Bihar is in serious trouble. In terms of population, Bihar would rank eleventh in the world if it were a nation. In terms of population, we recently surpassed Japan, according to Prashant Kishor, who was quoted by The Ultimate News.

The main obstacle, he claimed, is that people are no longer “hopeful” about things becoming better in Bihar.

According to Kishor, “When you lose hope, the immediate survival needs become so overwhelming that nothing else matters,” but there is still hope.

Because of what we have been doing over the past two and a half years, there is undoubtedly some hope. However, to turn this into a concrete election result and then into a governing result (will take time). “Those who wish to participate must be dedicated for a minimum of five-six years,” he stated.

It would be significant if Bihar became a middle-income state by 2029–2030, even if the Jan Suraaj administration is established in 2025 and we keep up our current level of effort. According to all developmental criteria, it is currently a failing state, he continued.

The people living here exhibit the traits of failing states. For instance, we occasionally ask ourselves, “Why are people in Sudan fighting in a civil war for 20 years?” Because people don’t care about our children’s education in Sudan while you’re in that failed state. They are concerned about where to catch and who to shoot. Therefore, such is also the case in Bihar. And we have to know that,” Kishor remarked.

He explained to the Bihari diaspora that he was “not trying to scare them,” but rather educating them about the situation on the ground and the difficult path ahead.

“The Jan Suraaj will prevail in the elections for the Bihar Assembly in 2025.” It is without question. I can see that we will win, based on my understanding of the election,” he remarked.

He stated that if Jan Suraaj is elected, enhancing school instruction would be his first priority, and that this would be paid for with the money raised from the repeal of the state’s alcohol prohibition.

He called on the Bihari diaspora in the United States to start encouraging their friends and family to vote for Jan Suraaj.

Jan Suraaj, which was introduced with great excitement in October, lost votes in all but one seat during the most recent assembly by-elections in Bihar. All four seats were won by the ruling NDA in a landslide victory.

Kishor added that the development of Bihar has not been greatly aided by the Bihari diaspora.

“I haven’t noticed anything particularly concrete on the ground. I haven’t noticed anything concrete on the ground outside of sessions. Let me say it plainly. In the end, you take no action. Don’t interpret it that way. However, you do nothing,” he informed the audience.
