35 Failures in Government Job Exams

Sirsa, Haryana, is the birthplace and upbringing of IAS officer Vijay Vardhan. After graduating from Hisar with a degree in electronics engineering, he relocated to Delhi to get ready for the UPSC exams. Vijay failed every exam he attempted. He took 35 attempts at government job exams but failed every one of them. He also had a lot of failures in the UPSC examinations. But his optimism carried him through. Eventually, he passed the UPSC exam in 2018 and achieved the 104th rank.

Cracking UPSC Twice

Vijay Vardhan was chosen to become an IPS officer in 2018 based on his 104th-place result on the UPSC exam. His ultimate objective was to become an IAS officer, so he was not satisfied. Unfazed, he took the UPSC exam once more in 2021 and, by placing in the top 70, fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer. In 2018 and 2021, Vijay Vardhan passed the UPSC exam twice.
