Pizza topping experiments appear to be reaching new heights of bizarreness. Gulab Jamun Pizza is one of the most popular versions online right now. If you had to read that name twice to understand it, you are not alone. Many foodies online are having difficulty accepting the existence of such a fusion. Many Instagram users are outraged after seeing a viral video of someone spreading the beloved Indian sweet over a pizza base. They responded with sarcasm and direct criticism.
In the Instagram reel by @realfoodler, we see a food vendor spreading out dough to make a pizza base. He spreads a yellowish liquid on top, similar to a sauce. We’re guessing it’s the sugary syrup that gulab jamuns are frequently immersed in. He then tears the jamuns into small pieces and sprinkles them on the dough. That is not all. He also adds cheese to the pizza before it goes into the oven. Later, he removes the baked pizza, slices it evenly, and decorates it with gulab jamun halves. Watch the entire reel below.
