A horrific incident emerged from Uttar Pradesh, in which a man hacked two boys to death in Budaun Baba Colony on Tuesday and critically injured a third with an axe.
Following the incident, agitated locals caused a scene at the police station, vandalizing and setting fire to vehicles. According to an The Ultimate News report, the two siblings, aged 11 and six, were playing on their house’s terrace when accused Sajid entered and killed the two brothers.
Later, the accused was killed during a police encounter.
“The man from the salon had arrived here. He took my brothers upstairs; I’m not sure why he killed them. He attempted to attack me as well, but I pushed away his knife, pushed him away, and ran down,” the surviving brother of the two deceased children and an eyewitness to the incident told The Ultimate News.
“I suffered injuries in my hand and head…,” he went on to say.
“An unfortunate incident happened this evening. When police arrived at the scene, the accused attempted to flee. The accused opened fire on the police, and as a result, he died on the scene. The accused’s age ranges from 25 to 30 years old,” said Bareilly Inspector General Rakesh Kumar on Tuesday, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
The situation in the area remained tense, and police were deployed, according to the report.
Kumar stated that the two children were playing on the terrace of their home when the accused entered and killed both of them.
Budaun District Magistrate Manoj Kumar stated that the reason for the cold-blooded murder is unknown, and that the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
“This evening, it was reported that a young man entered a house in Baba Colony and murdered two children.” “Some people became angry about it, but they were calmed down,” the DM said on Tuesday.
“We have sent the body for a post-mortem. It has been assured that appropriate action will be taken. The children who died were approximately eleven and six years old. There is no clear reason yet. “This is an investigation,” he added.
According to The Ultimate News, the accused ran a barbershop in the area, and his shop was close to the boys’ home.
