With only two days until the grand event in Ayodhya, the city has transformed into a fortress with three layers of security in place. While the city has been decorated like never before, security has tightened. While the saints are gathering in the city, a 1265 kg Laddu prepared in Hyderabad has arrived in Ayodhya. Also, the world’s largest lock and key, weighing approximately 400kg, has arrived in Ayodhya from Aligarh. Chandigarh is also preparing 150 quintals of laddoos for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Foreign Delegates
A total of 100 delegates from 54 countries have confirmed their attendance at Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on January 22. The Ram Temple Trust has invited government representatives from the United States, Britain, Australia, Mauritius, and Africa, among others. The guest list also includes 506 state guests.
Three-Layered Security
A three-tier security perimeter, overseen by the Uttar Pradesh government’s Special Security Force (SSF) for safeguarding temples and critical installations, will protect the grand Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya during the pran pratishtha ceremony on Monday, alongside the CRPF, provincial armed constabulary (PAC), and UP civil police.
According to reports, approximately 100 SSF commandos have strategically positioned themselves in and around the temple complex to mitigate any potential security threats, having been trained by the National Security Guard (NSG) in highly specialized anti-terror tactics and intervention drills. The CRPF, which has been responsible for the site’s security since the early 1990s, will be stationed in the primary temple cordon, which houses the sanctum sanctorum.
The SSF, which consists of personnel on deputation from the UP police and the PAC, is the largest component, with 1,400 personnel deployed primarily in the’red’ zone just outside the primary cordon. The ‘yellow’ zone, which includes the surrounding areas, will be patrolled by PAC and UP civil police, as well as SSF personnel.
NDRF Teams Deployed
Manoj Kumar Sharma, DIG, NDRF Varanasi, stated that three NDRF teams have been deployed to the city in preparation for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. “We deployed teams in collaboration with the local administration and police…One of our teams is stationed at the Ghats… “We are capable of dealing with any possible challenge,” he stated.
The Ram Temple consecration ceremony will take place on January 22 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in attendance there.
